If my father didn't treat anything less than an "A" as a failure (including a "B" in gym), I'd likely be a real dick. As it stands I'm just a cheap knock-off.
There's your error: it's actually "Max Persson" -- the second "S" is for savings!I believe Mr. Dustyboots was implying that "Maxperson" is your given or legal name, which would explain why you don't share it with anyone, people with similar names presumably preferring the "Max Person" variation or some such.
Presumably he, in fact, believes "Maxperson" to merely be an internet nom de guerre (a fact which your confusion would seem to verify).
The second is for savings, but the first s is silent. There's you error: it's actually "Max Persson" -- the second "S" is for savings!
Had an argument about getting a 98% in college chem, with my prof.. "I got the right answer!" "But you got it the wrong way." "How is it the wrong way?" "You didn't state the mass for hydrogen in your solution." "Sure I did!" "No you didn't. You just stated the total molar mass." "BUT THE MOLAR MASS IS 1!! Why add an unnecessary step?!!"My mother was always the same way - if I got a 98 on a test, she'd want to know where the other two points were... "If you're so damn smart, why didn't you do better?..."
One of the first things I can remember my parents telling me was that, no matter how smart or fast or pretty someone was, there was always going to be somebody out there who was smarter or faster or prettier, and it didn't matter what I had, it was what I did with it that counted.
Tried that in college when it was apparent that I knew more about basic electronic circuits* than did our (fourth!) instructor for out required basic electronics course, when he tried proving that a standard single transistor circuit was a non-inverting amplifier. I went to the course co-ordinator. Asked to take the final exam. Because the course was mandatory, he wouldn't let me out of it. What he did was allow me to only show up for the tests, without penalizing my attendance. Top mark in the class. I would sometimes just show up for a random class, to screw with my classmates.I had to finish school on my own, my teachers were amazed i did so well on test, and often never had homework,
Not at all.If I physically cringe every time I see certain posters' names on the forum, does that make me a bad person?
