With the likes of Carole King writing your songs, you've got a big leg up, but I also quite like Mike Nesmith's stuff.

Man, The Monkees was before I was even born. Good thing they had that comeback. (Or not, depending.)

If you haven't seen Nesmith's "Elephant Parts", it's well worth the watch. Very reminiscent of SCTV.
