That story seems kind of apocryphal. How reliable should we really consider it?
 



I've somehow managed to avoid covid so far, despite my wife and daughter both getting hit with it and my generally having the weakest constitution of the three of us. I even work at a university, which is basically a breeding ground for every bug under the sun.

I did get swine flu in grad school once, way back in the day. Couldn't recommend it.
 


I know a number of people who managed to avoid it until 2023 (myself and younger daughter, included)... and then got it with one of the newer strains.
My sister-in-law just tested negative a few days ago after getting both covid and the flu together.

Am I the only one who hasn't had Covid-19 yet?
Never tested positive but I had 2 weeks, a couple of months before lockdown, during which I was having difficulty breathing and by blood glucose has been reading rather high, since a friend left after visiting from the US for Christmas. No foreseeable reason for the high blood sugar readings.
