Not sure if thats a meme internet quote, but I do believe the premise is correct, and transcends any one time or culture.
the full quote is

“The fact is that the greatest crimes are caused by excess and not by necessity. Men do not become tyrants in order that they may not suffer cold; and hence great is the honour bestowed, not on him who kills a thief, but on him who kills a tyrant.”

Taking an art appreciation class must be more difficult now because every time you start on a new artist, you'd be like " Along with this piece of work and then they were a horrible person because of"

Pizza. Like a psychopath. Must be the influence of Detroit, across the river.
Eh. If I'm going to have pepperoni on pizza, I'd kinda prefer for it to be cubed/diced. This is sorta close to that ...

"We like pepperoni, but not the oils from the pepperoni" must be the same impulse that led to those weird "every piece of the brownie has dried-out edges on it" pans that were everywhere pre-pandemic.

You people don't deserve nice things.

Saw a tweet recently from someone's rule of thumb in trying to tell the difference between the two:

"If I'm trying to figure out if it's a crow or a raven, it's probably a crow. If I'm afraid for my life, it's a raven."
In my experience, crows are much maligned birds that reward people who are good to them and punish those who are not.

Ravens are feathered thugs who poke holes in my camping water containers. Hopefully they are just doing it for easy water, without care that they waste most of it. But I worry that they are hoping I die of dehydration so they can feed on my corpse.

Blue jays are the neighborhood watch.

Camp jays are likable rogues who'll fly down and fearlessly steal food right next to you, but you enjoy the experience.
