Yeah, but when the problem is baked into core assumptions in D&D, you either decide to shrug, or move into something else that doesn't have those core assumptions. Trying to do otherwise is trying to extract your pound of flesh without spilling a drop of blood.
Countless threads and comments demonstrate that people do not, in fact, "either decide to shrug, or move into something else." Most of the time, people just keep discussing and testing ways to improve D&D.

And in some of them, I have little sign they've made any headway since 1975. The fact people keep pounding their heads on a wall does not actually demonstrate its useful to do. As I said, it depends on how baked-in the problem is; if its baked in enough, by the time you fix it (especially if you have more than one like that) its legitimate to question how much you're really playing the same game anyway.
 

So you joined the forum to jump in to a niche within a niche within a niche conversation and vehemently defend the indefensible. That’s the second easiest ignore of all time.

Since, it seems you are unable to provide an alternate or even give an idea towards one after 24 hrs, I'm simply going to go with the idea that you don't have one.
