The Kolloseaum: Team Gil's Conscience (DM: Iron Sky, Judge: Luinnar)

Seeing the situation turn grim on the other pillar Brenwar calls to the heavens asking for divine aid. His request is granted as Lerrick is brought back to consciousness, but Brenwar continues to take a beating from the half spider. He takes advantage of Martelai blasting the creature and hits home with a solid blow from his hammer. As the hammer crunches into the beast, a wave of radiant energy gives the party a small boost of renewed vigor.

Joy swung her sword with wild abandon, slicing deep into one of the wounded enemies. Then she bowed to the crowd one final time, as the pillar began to collapse...

[sblock= OOC]
>Standard: Demoralizing Strike at Warrior 2 (w2) (vs. AC), 1d20+12= 28 (hit for 13 damage and w2 has -2 to defenses until end of Joy's next turn); rolls Roll Lookup

ooc: thank you rapida :)

Lerrick blinks her eyes feeling the healing warmth of her allies one more time. Thank you Brenwarrrr... The cleric is too weak to say anything more. Praying to her god one more time before the column gives out underneith her, a blast of sliver light moves outward, bringing much needed healing to her allies around her. Laying flat on the column floor, she turns her head slightly, locking her eyes on Cyr. She then closes them, in the process, sending a wave of healing at Cyr.

[sblock=actions]
action: healer's mercy: HS + 1d6+5 to everyone within 5 squares around her. This includes Joy (how does it work when she has no HS? Does she get the additional healing from the powew?), Cyr, Artemis, Benwar, and Ootah: HS + 10 (HP is updated on the map for them)

Minor: Healing Word for Cyr: HS +2d6+8 = 18

dimsdale I didn't realize Healer's Mercy was close burst 5, I can just negate the shift from my turn since Iron Sky hasn't ran the enemy turns yet.

Would this apply to Joy? "Regain Hit Points: When you are dying and receive healing, you go to 0 hit points and then regain hit points from the healing effect. If the healing effect requires you to spend a healing surge but you have none left, you are restored to 1 hit point."
http://www.wizards.com/dndinsider/compendium/glossary.aspx?id=428
Would that be 1+10 HP gained?

OOC: If an effect/power grants you the ability to spend a surge, but you don't have any surges left, you do still gain hp equal to any amount over your healing surge value that the effect/power grants.

OOC: Joy did you remove the damage you did to Warriors 1's hp on the map stats yet and add your status effect to it? I think it's only at 1 hp now. Which means he dies as soon as that pillar falls.

ooc: questions:

1. Lerrick is prone at the moment. Would crawling one square left provoke an OA from the warrior? If not, Lerrick can reach Brenwar with a healing word.

2. Joy has no HS left and neither does Lerrick. Is an HS required to use healing word on either one?

3. If option 1 and 2 are not allowed Lerrick will use healing word on Cyr just before the column collapses.

GM: 1. Crawling always draws OAs.
2. What WEContact says. I think the surge itself won't be granted, but the extra heals will? Not entirely positive. I'll say yes.

Darksteed, the pillars fall at the end of the enemy's turn, so it's unlikely they'd ride a collapsing pillar down into the fog.

Artemix grins as the spider approaches.

"Come on, say it! Welcome to my web says the spider to the fly."

Artemis makes a spinning swing which not only connects solidly with the spider but also frees him from the web encasing him. Light flashes like a small sun when the spider is struck by the black blade.

OOC: I clearly remember leaving it at 14, so with Joy's hit it should be at 1 hp. I corrected it on the map

ooc: sounds good to me. Brenwar receives HS +10 hp. Then Lerrick doesn't crawl anywhere.

I also gave Joy 1 more hp as I didn't account for it after the explanation you gave.

Lerrick still has to grant her 2nd Healing Word before she falls to her death. Who wants it? Joy, Ootah, Cyr, Brenwar, or Artemis? :)
