You've got a funny definition of filler.

It was teased the previous week and lead to next week's episode and his helmet thing is recurring plot element.

If you didn't like it fair enough its probably the second weakest episode of the season but I wouldn't call it filler as it's advancing the plot ergo can't be filler.

Execution wasn't great though.

Holding the diametrical opposite opinion to you is not something I find unusual. I do on most everything.
 

Haven't watched it yet, but if it's true that the episode moves the plot forward, can it even be filler? Like, by definition?
 



That's fine but fillers usually used to describe episodes that don't really go anywhere so it's an odd label to stick on that episode imho.
I disagree.
We can keep repeating it, but I’m sure that will get boring for everybody else.

By your standard, there’s no such thing as filler, because obviously TV shows tenuously connect filler episodes with mild narrative tissue.

Next week they’ll invade the space ship that they were next to last week. They filled that gap with a fetch quest.
