I'm starting to think it's the same show every week..... And episode five made me wonder if I'm actually liking it or not. I don't think having a show with one character is sustainable. If it is just him doing a mini quest every week, my wife's words which are accurate, I won't watch long.

The first three episodes were SO GOOD. But then, yeah, I noticed a distinct change.

I see what you mean, but it still does not feel right to me. Just because a species gets very very old, would that automatically mean it needs an equal multitude of time to mature as well? That just feels off.

It's quite possible that this species has a vastly different aging process than humans.

I doubt they have larval states and metamorphosis or anything like that but it could be that they have a slow rate of growth for a long time fallowed by a puberty like state were they mature very quickly.

Also it is incapable of speaking Basic, but can hunt live frogs, and understand a situation well enough to use the force effectively as a complex tool.

Yeah, I really hope we get some returning characters in the last couple episodes.
The guy who hires him to find the baby "Yoda" survived and we will see him again for sure, probably soon I would think. I also think that the rebel he encounters in episode #4 will be recurring.

Species don’t have to mature at the same proportional rate as humans.
Yeah, but I don't see how taking a few hundred years to make it to puberty is a strong survival trait. Different rates is fine, but this is not making a lot of sense to me.

I mean, imagine a sentient race that only takes a year to grow up enough to be physically useful, and reaches maturity in 10. They’d say the same about us.

Their homeworks could be very safe but cold with limited food.

Otherwise aliens, magic, force etc.
