The pair walked to the Coronet as a light rain began to fall. The stepped out of the street as dusk was falling, although it was hard to tell just where the sun was because of all the clouds. Ryland approached the innkeeper, asking for Ms. Oshally, only to be told that she had left early that morning, and hadn't been seen back since.

OoC: What with all the walking and talking, let's put Ryland at 2/10 and Devlin at 13/23 hp. Again, all non-lethal damage, of course.

Ryland turns to Devlin, "Let's return to the room, and wait for her to check in with us. If she doesn't show up in a while we can go look for her. I think I could use the rest. We can leave a message with the innkeeper for her to meet us when she gets in.'

"I dunno, Ryland. If she didn't show up at Eppy's and she didn't return here, then I think something happened to her. She's key to this whole thing, and she's in danger. Which means we're in danger. I say we go to Eppy's neighborhood and see if anyone there saw anything."

"I'm not that worried about her, but she is our source for the orb. I was surprised she wasn't at Kamdar's earlier, putting the poison in our drinks. I don't trust her, I think she is more capable and more involved than she lets on", Ryland says pausing to look Devlin in the eye. "That said let's go find her in case I'm wrong."

Ryland and Devlin walked briskly from the Coronet to the alley where Eppy's apartment was located, getting slightly damp in the process. At least the drizzle was warm. There were few people out in the weather, and even fewer in the alley: precisely none. The door that they knew led to the stairs and the apartment beyond was closed. Lights were on in the surrounding buildings, beckoning one in out of the damp.
