The woman seemed disappointed that Devlin and Ryland's "social call" was coming to an end. "Leaving already?", she asked. "Well, I suppose you must be getting on if you're going to find your friend. No, I didn't see her all morning, and I'm pretty sure I would have seen someone new to the alley. I saw you two wandering around and sniffing at Eppy's place before you knocked on my door, didn't I? And of course if she comes 'round, I'll put her up here if she won't stay put at Eppy's place. It just isn't right that men would be after such a nice young lady like that. Oh, no, you don't have to, oh, thank you very much. I'll give your money back to Eppy if I don't have to send a messenger boy, oh, I'll see you to the door, bye now, come back when you can stay longer!" Her closing lines were the accompaniment to Ryland's offer of coin and rising to leave. The woman waved as she closed the door behind them, leaving Ryland to wonder...just what was her name?

The drizzle continued as the pair walked back to "their" office. "Hi. Any news?", Eppy asked wistfully as the two opened the door at the top of the stairs.

OoC: Well, first of all, it's evening, not morning. You got up, went to the office, got Kamdar's note, talked to Brigit, went and saw Kamdar, got knocked out, spent time in Kamdar's room, went to Devlin's room and recuperated, went back to the office, went to the Coronet, then to Eppy's flat, and are now Gathering Information all the way back to the office. Let's say it's now 10ish, ok? And Devlin is at full hp, and Ryland is at 7/10, all non-lethal damage.

IC: Devlin and Ryland spent much of the evening looking for Brigit and canvassing passers-by, with little luck. They determined that Brigit left the office less than an hour after they did, but traveled either to the Street of Merchants, the Harbor or back up by the Red Dragon and Tower Inns...it was hard to say which, since the trail petered out so quickly. One thing that they felt more sure of was that their employer had never even tried to shelter in Eppy's apartment, having traveled not a single block in that direction.
