The worst Roleplaying game ever!!!

GEZ,

I just have to say, that post made my day! :)

It is, perhaps, the most clever thing I've ever seen posted--I even called my wife over to have a look (though I think it loses something when you have to put it all in context for a non-gamer). ;)

(PS: Oh, and how was that "Christian RPG" called, where you had stats like Joy, Honesty, or Modesty rather than Strength or Dexterity, and where the main villain was TSR's red dragon logo ?)

That was DragonRaid, a copy of which is still sitting, dusty, on my gaming shelf. It's worth noting that the creators didn't see it as a "game," but as a biblical study tool.

I don't know if it works well as a study tool. It certainly doesn't work well as a game.

As bad as F.A.T.A.L. is, it's available as a free download on the internet.

I actually spent money on Space Opera, though. I never actually played it, but I remember you had to pick particular college courses for your character in order to have certain occupations.

MadBlue

I happened to like MERP..shrug...

I don't know much about recent games but the worst I've ever seen was Dave Arneson's Adventures in Fantasy, and Powers & Perils from AH (which makes HERO, Mythus, and Rolemaster look like the D&D adventure game box)

Some of the FGU games were great ideas but horrid execution....Aftermath, Lands of Adventure, Space Opera, etc.

Man, Myth & Magic from Yaquinto games (again, cool ideas, horrid system)

FATAL, Hybrid, whatever. How about games you've actually purchased and played?

Games that some people actually like and defend (vociferously).

Games like Unknown Armies (groan)

Games like Conspiracy X (yawn)

Games like Nephilim (booga booga).

There you go, three games that I spent money on, sat down and actually played, and which were utter and complete wastes of my time and money.

If you love those games, congratulations.
If I (and my group) are uncultured gamist losers, we plead guilty.
If you are the guy who bought those books from me on EBay, mazeltov.

What doesn't really? :p

JeffB - I recall Space Opera being a bit mangled, as well.
