Wonder if my wife would hurt me if I gave her that for her next birthday? :D

Quick tip, Henry: when you're unsure of your spouse's reaction to a gift, make sure that said gift is light and can't inflict severe bodily harm.

:)

Cheers!

Other good ideas include "returnable within 14 days of arrival by post" and "cheap, but looks good".

See, that's just it.

I suspect most of the people buying this book will *already* be D&D fans. I can't imagine that this book is going to "spread the word" or anything.
It certainly can't hurt, though.

This might not actually be a bad book for educators, and therapists who want more insight into what students they work with are doing. I could see them buying it to get a better understanding into that culture. My wife is a therapist, and she has students that play the game, and play Everquest, and because I am/was into those, she can relate to the students better. Well, that and she played a greedy rogue in our first 3e campaign.
