I have been continually amazed at how almost every major design decision they made was just what I wanted. Was I the only one who filled out the survey?

As someone who was *extremely* put off by all things WotC with the 4E rollout, I have to say that it looks like a great start for 5E.

The game looks solid and the marketing has been friendly and welcoming.

I'm still not sold on WotC as D&D's caretaker (everyone on the team could be laid off in a few months after all - and 6E could be in the works for 2018), but as long as Mike Mearls is in charge, it looks like D&D will be just fine.

Agreed. I love that if you squint you can see the impact of every edition, but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

This looks to be my favorite D&D edition ever and I've played and enjoyed them all.

Great job everyone on the D&D team! I'm really enjoying the system so far (starting running a game about month ago). Rules wise, it's kinda like a sweet spot for me. A good place between Castles & Crusades and 3.5/Pathfinder.

Thanks again for listening to us, altering rules to make us happy, and finally, for just building a game that feels like D&D.
