Roman clothing didn’t have pockets. They used small packs on shoulder straps and belts, armbands thst could hold a small quantity of stuff, and carried bags, along with other ways of dealing with things they wanted to take around with them. So if you’re ever shifted back to the Roman republic or empire, invent pockets.

Way back in my college days (late 1980s) I had a geography professor who asserted that Earth had the resources to comfortably support about 15 billion people. He was quick to point out the problem was populations were unevenly distributed, and are not always located alongside the natural and man-made resources needed to support them.
