Volo's Redux (AKA Monsters of the Multiverse) I imagine, since the hobgoblin (and kobold) first appeared in Volo's.

I think what they are getting at is there isn't much in the way of unannounced product within the approx 12 month window since the hobgoblin UA. There is Monsters of the Multiverse, Call of the Netherdeep, and one of 2 classic settings.

You have some general sense of what is coming. 2.5 classic settings in 2022, summer adventures, maybe an adventure Anthology, possibly a splat book.

MotM isn't deleting the content from earlier books, so it can present a fey hobgoblin lineage without overwriting the earlier race. WotC know player options sell books.

Of course physical books aren't going to be deleted, but I was under the impression that the new racial and creature stats would be the official version going forwards. I think that it is interesting that D&D Beyond already has the March adventure up for pre-order, but MotM isn't. I wonder if that is because the previous stats will be automatically updated.

That's actually quite possible. Perhaps WotC wants to push on the time-limited exclusivity of the gift set.
