Protectar nearly slices Fang in half (rolled 14+1=15) for 10 points of damage. Fang I is dying and defeated!

Protectar II will be in the finals as the Lawful Good representative. Psybo will introduce the Neutral Good and Lawful Evil combatants in the other semifinal bout.

(Komodo, would you like to take the brain in a jar (Libris Mortis) in the Hades Arena ? Please let us know if either you do not want to or you cannot.)

“And now continuing on with our second semifinal match of the CR 2 edition of the Tournament of Champions! This match features the best of the Neutral Good forces against the best of the Lawful Evil forces.”

Making his way into the arena and starting at position 115N60E, this combatant measures 2 feet tall and weighs 30 pounds. He is undefeated so far, with two wins, zero losses, and one draw. He defeated a former Hall of Famer, Neutral’s shocker lizard, and his last victory was over Neutral Evil’s splinter waif. He comes to us straight from the plane of Elysium. Representing the forces of Neutral Good, please welcome the musteval guardinal Gelhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarin!”

Gelharin enters to the cheers of the Neutral Good faction of the audience. He is a slim humanoid creature, with the elongated snout, tufted ears, and furtive eyes of a ferret. White fur covers his tiny body and slender limbs.

“Now making his way into the arena and starting at position 0N0E, this combatant measures 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. A former Hall of Famer, he has a record of four wins, one loss, and zero draws, including his last victory over Chaotic Good’s protectar. Representing the forces of Lawful Evil, please welcome the void mind grimlock L.L. Goooooooooooooon!”

As he enters the arena, L.L. Goon sneers, apparently surveying the crowd. But that would be impossible since he has no eyes. A muscular humanoid, L.L. has thick, gray, scaly skin and a trickle of pale green, translucent goo running down his neck. The source is probably a single tentacle of the same color jutting from his forehead. He readies his battleaxe for his unseen opponent.

Psybo communicates telepathically to the two combatants. “Gelharin will have the initiative in the first round unless the Neutral Good representative tells me otherwise.”

Quick GM ruling needed

[sblock]
Buff with Protection from Evil and See Invisible.
Can I also buff with Invisibility?
[/sblock]

Gelharin takes a look at the eyeless creature, chants a quick blessing, and burrows down into the ground.

[sblock]
(SLA - Protection From Evil (self), MEA: to 110N60E-5Z)
[/sblock]

L.L. doesn't like the look of this. Actually, he doesn't like the look of anything.
Wanting to mix things up early, he runs to 90n 60e.

Gelharin pops up, fires off a salvo of glowing balls of light, and vanishes down a hole again.

(MEA to 110N60E0Z, fire magic missiles, back down to 110N60E-5Z (using his superior movement ability))

L.L.'s magic resistance will shrug that off (eep!). Then he will move to 105n 60e.
For Psybo: [sblock]ready an action to spew breath wpn on the pest[/sblock]

Edit: spoiler block
