This time the ray hits (14 touch), and Paris doesn't dodge (8 Ref vs. DC 18).

Paris takes 8 points of damage and is disabled! She is also pushed to 70N40E (8 Str check).

Mouse has 0 PP left.

Paris goes back to 80N40E.

Round 10!

Float (charge) down to 80N40E5Z and touch Paris.

Gansk[sblock]I am not sure if Paris has to be in the zone for four complete rounds to win, or for parts of four rounds. If Paris would win if Mouse misses, Mouse instead charges to 85N45E.[/sblock]

What's the condition of the ready action? It won't trigger if Mouse descends to 5Z since a charge needs a minimum of 10 feet of movement.

Ready to charge if he's within range of an attack. The last readied action was just "claw", so you could've gone with that (noticeably in my favor), but I stupidly changed it so nevermind. Feel free to roll Paris's attack just to see what would happen and whether it would have made a difference. :)

Paris would have hit for 9, but instead Mouse hits (rolled 16+2 touch) for 2.

"The winner by standard victory after 10 rounds, Mouussssssssssssssssssssse! Stay seated for our next quarterfinal or I'll squash you like a bug."

OOC: I2K, you have your choice to play LG or CE.

Thank you, Infiniti. Now I am one for six against you.

By the way, if Paris did not enter the victory zone and did nothing (presumably readying and attack), Mouse would not have charged to the attack. Instead, Mouse would have entered the victory zone and readied an attack in case Paris came within range. If Paris entered the zone by going around Mouse, Mouse would have charged then. Mouse would have not given Paris the chance to get the first attack in.

“Ladies, gentlemen, and genderless creatures! Prepare for our second quarterfinal match of the CR 5 edition of the Tournament of Champions! This match features the best of the Neutral Good forces against the best of the Neutral Evil forces.”

Making his way into the northern side of the arena, this combatant measures 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 172 pounds. He is undefeated with a record of three wins, zero losses, and one draw in the main battle. His only draw came against a swarm of scorpions. Representing the forces of Neutral Good, please welcome the lupinal Lupaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooooooo!”

Luparo enters to the cheers of the Neutral Good faction of the audience and concentrates. He appears to be a half-human, half-wolf creature, although regal and poised.

“Now making her way into southern side of the arena, this combatant measures 8 feet long and weighs 1200 pounds. She is winless in the main battle, with a record of zero wins, one loss, and zero draws. She was slaughtered by Neutral’s tenacious and superior seven-headed cryohydra. Representing the forces of Neutral Evil, please welcome the nightmare Daaaaaaaaaaaaana Daaaaaaaaaaaane!

The raucous cheers of the Neutral Evil faction greet Dana Dane as she trots into the arena. Dana Dane looks like a large, powerful horse with a jet black coat. Flames wreathe her steely hooves, trail from her flared nostrils, and smolder in the depths of her dark eyes.

Psybo communicates telepathically to the two combatants. “Dana Dane, you have the initiative. Luparo, you choose the starting positions. Now go at it!”
