Thank you for providing the sage response (I am not big on his responses because I believe that he is sometimes too creative and imaginative in his opinions on what the rules say). I now believe that I am disagreeing with an argument based on one's perception of how the spell is intended to work and not how it is stated to work. The spell states that it protects against information gathering by a divination spells and effect but if one decides that this protection should be limited to spells and effect detect, influence, or read emotions or thoughts and to scrying spells and effects and should not extend to other spell and effects which clearly gather and provide information (such as Detect spells) then I can not really argue with that other than to say that is not how I believe that spell should be read.
