Trying to remember the name of a book...

Recently, I remember hearing something about a sci-fi novel (I think it's recent) that sounded interesting... I think it was described as a cross between Terminator and the original Alien wherever I read about it, but now I can't remember where I saw the description or what the book was called. Anyone here got anything?

Sure, Sigourney Weaver was in Alien with Yaphet Kotto who was in The Running Man with Arnold Scharzenegger.
