My DM and I were looking over various feats and such, and we saw the Inescapable Force power, which lets your force attacks deal full damage to insubstantial creatures, plus deal an extra 1d10 damage. We joked around that it would make a cool combo with magic missile, since it would turn the power into a 'damage roll' again, which lets you add more modifiers, instead of just being a flat damage amount.
The problem, of course, is how often do you fight insubstantial enemies? If only, we joked, there was a way to turn your enemies into ghosts.
Enter the Anathema paragon path (for psions), which has a power that lets you turn an enemy insubstantial for a round. It's not quite ideal, of course, because you'll only ever pull off the trick if you hit with the first power and then use an action point to magic missile the guy. I dunno; maybe you could get a whole team of wizard/anathemae, and you all take turns ghosting your enemies and blasting them with magic missiles.
Anybody know other powers that can turn enemies into ghosts?
