You guys have any good recommendations of underrated shows you think should be more popular?

My contribution would be In Plain Sight. Gotten very into this show over the past few seasons - big fan of the mix of drama and action. Any of you guys watch this?

Any other recos?

I watched a few episodes when it first came on and it just didn't grab me.

I've really been enjoying White Collar, Leverage, and Burn Notice as shows I watch not on the big networks and not genre shows that would normally appeal to the EN World Crowd.

I haven't heard much buzz about Apparitions, a BBC horror drama being shown Sunday nights on Chiller TV. I'm really enjoying it - it's very dark and the main protagonist is a Catholic priest exorcist.

Survivors, a post-apoc BBC drama being shown Saturday nights on BBC-America is very good too.

I'll chime in for Psych, In Plain Sight and Burn Notice as well. I am a big fan of USA Networks shows.

I was sad to find out that Life was cancelled last year. That show was really good, with a nice plot-arc running through the episodes.

Life was a great show, wish they would bring it back now that Leno is out of the 10 o'clock slot.

Another fan of Psyche, great cast and just fun to watch.

Leverage is also another hidden gem.

Burn Notice is no longer underrated but I think was during the first season then people jumped on it's band wagon.

Chuck - it has a lot of good momments in it.

Human Target also should make the list, great supporting characters.

Hmmm... lots of mentions for USA network shows ;)

* Burn Notice
* Chuck
* Psych
* Warehouse 13 (though this one is iffy, there was lots of hit or miss episodes season 1 for me, so waiting to see if season 2 goes up or down in terms of what i like)

Other shows that probably don't count as "underrated" but still mentioning ...

* Glee (campy but still silly fun - not so much for gamer style appeal but rather the underdog of high school type appeal)
* Fringe (ratings wise, i know this is low, hence, underrated, though I'm guessing most folks on these boards that watch tv are aware of this show)
* Legend of the Seeker (I like that it is a more serious flavor of Hercules/Xena, but I am noticing some episodes are getting more and more on the silly-end where Herc/Xena were, but I hope that trend doesn't continue)
* Merlin (only saw season 1 on hulu and enjoyed it, have yet to see how season 2 turned out)
* Stargate Universe (not sure if I like this one or not, yet, but waiting until the end of the season to decide)
* Medium (somewhat formulaic and predictable but i'm still overall enjoying it)
* Sanctuary (cheesy scifi, but usually somewhat enjoyable stories)
* Community (Abed makes the show for me more than anything else)
* 24
* Cougar Town (okay, again, not an actual "good" show but somehow it manages to still get laughs out of me - so i don't go out of my way to watch it, but if it's on i'll watch it type thing)
* Flashforward (okay, so the show isn't actually that good (to me), but I like the general premise and just want to see how it turns out, at least this season)

I too like Burn Notice and Psyche. Watch them when I can.

Sorta surprised by the idea that certain shows wouldn't appeal to EN folks. I'd figure role play gamers to watch a wider, rather than a more restricted, variety of shows.

Off the subject a bit I know, but I recently rented the first season of Kung-Fu, rewatching it from the beginning. When I was younger it was one of my very favorite shows.
