Unorthodox characters and automatic scaling

Dinkeldog

Sniper o' the Shrouds
Hey, I've experimented with PC Gen, and it doesn't really do what I need.

My character was reincarnated into Badger form from Gnome. As a result, I need to override the ECL that PC Gen wants to force on me.

In addition, I've got two awakened animal companions that are gaining levels. I also would like a way to quickly generate stats for them when they're under the effects of animal growth. PC Gen also doesn't seem to work that well for me.

Are there any tools on the market that will do that quickly and easily for me?

What version of PCGen are you using? I think there's a way to shut off the ECL's in PCGen for "monster" characters. A badger, you really got screwed. I'll check on the awakened thing. It might be a template in a earlier version (3.0 or lower).

What happened to "Release The Hound" any way..

Badger wasn't getting screwed. +4 Str, +8 Dex, +4 Con. I was already a druid, so I had the Natural Spell feat to let me cast in non-gnome forms.

I'm currently using a non-approved version of the software. I know that makes me an evil person, but I'm leaving this job on Monday, so there was no point in installing an upgraded version.

Actually, I think E-Tools could handle this pretty easily. Make a new PC with Badger being the race, and then you can level up in Druid.

As for Animal Growth, I'm not certain how E-Tools would do that. It handles advancing monsters really easily, but it would probably be easier to just manually create a new .Mon file with the name "Badger, animal-growthed" and save it that way. Not ideal, but workable, and it wouldn't take to long to create the .mon file.

That would work, KidCh, thanks. I only summon certain types of animals anyway, so I don't need to do the whole lot.

Now if I could just find a copy somewhere around here.
