Unstoppable Undead

Well shucks. Most of the solutions posted assume a degree of arcane magic, which just isn't present in your party. As far as I can tell, your party's problem solving abilities are mostly limited to "I hit it with my stick" and "I hit it harder with my stick".

The cleric might be a good place to start since he can call in a wide variety of spells.

What are his domains? If he has the Magic domain, for instance, we can outfit him with some scrolls of useful spells, though I suspect he might have taken... I dunno, the Law and Good domain.

Other than that, I think the party might find archery and focus fire tactics more suitable for this enemy, since undead typically move slowly and do not have ranged attacks. Of course, if you're fighting in a dungeon, that's not very useful...

ok as you dont seem to have a lot in terms of arcane magic it is quite important that your cleric makes a knowledge (religion) check

if your cleric doesnt have ranks in knowledge religion there are 2 massive problems. 1 being that every cleric should have ranks in it and that you wont find it as easy to get the info you need because i doubt any of those characters have a high intelligence score as they are generally fighters. the other problem being that the dm should have insta-killed the cleric for not taking knowledge (religion)

really the only other thing you can do is point out to your dm that an undead reduced below 0 hp is destroyed and as such regeneration and fast healing wouldnt work as the creature would be classed as dead.

or u just start removing limbs once they cant move and only the head should regenerate meaning that if you put the heads in a barrel or box they cant do anything and are essentially killed. i know that will seem an unusual way of dealing with the problem but it will be dealt with

It's already dead.

The party was more balanced when we were playing with 2e rules. We had a guy playing a Mage/Cleric, a guy playing a Mage/Thief, and another guy playing a single classed Mage. Unfortunately they saw how much success my Lupin Ranger was having with TWF in 2e and decided when we switched to 3.5 to re-roll as fighters so that they could also be "awesome". I was going to roll up a druid but the DM didn't want me to so I stuck with my Fuzzy Ranger.

A portable hole full of holy water? This should solve the problem for good (even if they regenerate positive energy damage)

I mean you can have it as undead disposal bin... :P

yes i get that an undead is a dead creature but once it is classed as destroyed when it reaches 0 hp regeneration shouldnt work on it. however there is no rules on this because an undead shouldnt be allowed regeneration if it has been allowed then there should be a way to stop the regeneration or a way to destroy it so that regeneration wont work on it

personally im all for pushing them into a portable hole and then closing it on them and just leaving them in there but i dont know if their party has one or can gain access to one

20.000 gp for a portable hole
while that is an expensive price to deal with any low level undead if they are "unstoppable" then it is a price i would certainly pay

also if your cleric is evil in any way i would suggest that he learn how to make these to teach ur DM a lesson about what he shouldnt throw at PC's
