Use of BoEF, N&D, Nymphology or the GUCK

Does your campaign have use for the BoEF, Naughty & Dice, Nymphology or the GUCK?

  • Yes. While sex and eroticism aren't the focus of my games these situations do happen.

  • Maybe. If my players and I all feel comfortable with incorporating these types of sources.

  • Maybe. But probably only for the non-sexual, non-erotic material, like spells and monsters.

I just forgot it was possible to make the poll after creating the thread with these new boards.

Ah! Well, it was the first poll I've made here and I wasn't sure of the process...so brief delay. :)

23 "No" of one type or the other compared to 16 "Yes" of some sort...the difference isn't as large as I thought it would be.

At least so far.

this is far better then the other poll.

after my explosion at the other on i wrote an essay at my live journal about my feelings. http://www.livejournal.com/users/arthurq/ will take you to it. Be warned there IS language not suitable for minors in sections of my journal.

Having voted "No," I must point out that I did purchase "Nymphology." It's pretty funny, and I think Mongoose created it more as a comic-relief product than something to take seriously (like "The Slayers Guide to Female Gamers"). There are some things in there I could see being useful in a normal game, particularly for bards, and for someone who wanted to make a serious situation have a bit of humor.

The best option for me would have been "No, I have more useful products to buy with my little gaming money."

It's one thing we don't really need rules for. Erotic prestige classes and sexual feats? Sure, some NPCs may "have" these, but as it's unlikely they will enter in any dice-rolled activity... Not all my NPCs have a class and a level, some are merely names, motivations and description -- no stats. And that's enough, even for major characters, as long as they're not going to be involved in any dice-rolled activity (like combat or some social skills) with the player characters.

Keep polling until you get the answers you want? The other poll has three times as many votes cast, which seems to make it at least as valid as this one, if not more so. Granted, if this poll gets as many votes, it could tip either way.

Call me a prude, but I cast my vote for no ("best left to the imagination"), here, based on the fact that BoEF has photos of models with body piercings (so others have said). To each their own opinion, but that's just not my cup of tea.
