Viridian Plague--Autumn's Enigma [Obscurity]

has she tried invisibility yet? in any case no point in not turning invisible too. what's the DC (bloody hard, not bad, easy?) with only a +6 balance she's probably goign to want to take it slow. A fall will be the end of her, though so would a hit...

(OOC: Invisibility is a miss chance that is, I believe, separate from Blink, since one is about going Ethereal and the other is about 100% concealment. The DC is probably decently hard, but she's never balanced on such a thin platform before, so she doesn't know)

(OOC: You actually have +8 rather than +6 Balance through Tumble synergy, which is critical because I almost had you fall by 2 ;))

*Though Obscurity becomes invisible, the eye still follows her perfectly, unfortunately--it seems as if it can see her regardless. She makes three consecutive false starts where she can't balance onto the rope and nearly falls once, but thankfully, since she is still on the platform and hasn't actually made any progress, she is able to leap aside as the eye shoots at her. However, as her luck becomes better and she moves sixty feet along the tightrope, she is unable to dodge and has to close her eyes and hope for Blink to carry her through...*

*And it does! She moves another sixty feet and the eye fires at her again, and this time Blink is not there to save her. However, the attack deflects off the aura provided by her protection spell (OOC: Bah, I rolled a 3--I'll get you next time!) and she continues onward, the next forty feet before leaping up onto the eye and then the top of the pedestal, nearly slipping in an ironic death as she climbs the last bit to the talisman at the top.*

*Grabbing hold of the talisman, shifting colours surround her, and she sees the blurry shapes of spirit dryads, dancing amongst the falling autumn leaves.*

"Congratulations, Guardian. Through cunning, wit, and skill, and the shifting whimsy to change to meet a changing field, you have proven yourself worthy. Return and await your comrades, if they live."

*The light surrounds her, and she is gone.*

(OOC: You can go back to the old thread now :) I shall even make a post

EDIT: I should probably make a "The Sleeping Queen" thread. Link coming)

(OOC: No problem--I was hoping people would like the little trials, but I was worried they might find them boring. I think unleashed doesn't like Trayah's, but that is perhaps because he's having trouble arguing with an vituperative spirit :D)

(OOC: He's on part 3/3 of the trial, but he hasn't posted in a while. He had the most trouble with the Fleshdancer (MMIII) because Whinoah likes to hit you for many comparatively low-damage arrow attacks per round, so the FD's ability to gain DR 15/piercing after an arrow attack (forcing her to switch to the sword to make it become 15/slashing), really broke her rhythm)
