Vitual Warriorz: In The Beginning...

Angel Tarragon

Dawn Dragon
The fog of reality is lifted from your mind as your neural interface form your virtual avatar. Everrything around you seems as real as it could be. In a second for gear loads and the sights and sounds of Disiag flood youur sense.

You are in Kourdûn, a small village located in the south-east of Desarg, the major continet in the northern hemisphere. Peseants, workers and farmers walk past you and you can the smell bread from the Bakery Distict wafts towards you. You hear a whip snap and a horse drawn carriage passes the party on the left. You hear a commotion and a bang from the tavern to your right.

A human male, that looks to be in his late 40s walks up to the party and asks, "Got a copper or two to spare?" Then a loud boom startles you. "Kraymer, get your lazy but back in here," a husk female voice yells out. The old man walks away muttering.

A light breeze passes and light stormlouds pass over the city as it starts to drizzle.

You notice The Eagle's Roost, a noted tavern and inn. The sun disappears behind the clouds and the rain starts to fall just a little harder. You can hear the faint sounds of thunder far from the village.

"Oh great. They've updated the weather machine. And still they can't get it to change weather logically." The human in chain-shirt starts towards the inn mumbling to himself.

Kef the Magnificant - Tiefling Wizard 3 - 24/24hp - 17AC

Drawing his grey worn cloak in tightly over his icy blue robes, Kef will mutter "Damn this weather, why isn't it always sunny. I don't know who thinks pneumonia is fun. At least the ale tastes decent here." as he walks through the muddy street to The Eagle's Roost. Kef's jet black hair is tied neatly in a pony tail and is matted against his head due to the rain. His tiny horns and red eyes betray his abyssal background, which Kef is quite proud of. He leans heavily on his walking stick and a heavy crossbow hangs from his hip, while his many pouches containing his spell components dangle from the inside of his cloak, always within easy reach. Kef strokes them reassuringly as he pushes through the tavern door. He'll grab a table in the tavern as he's usually one of the first logged in.

Caine, Orc Rogue

Caine grunts in greetings to the other characters as he finishes logging in. As the rain starts and then increases he reaches up to wipe away the water gathering on his forehead. He smiles grimly up at the sky for a moment, then gives Kef a blank look.

"Some of us appreciate the rain. Who needs sunlight?"

Still, he moves to enter the inn with the rest, rather than spending the evening smelling like damp leather.

Wu Fang, elf fighter/wizard

Sam Long drinks a sip of water, then puts down the cup. Wouldn't want to overdo that; these sessions can take a while.

He glances over at his to-do pile, then lays back, closes his eyes, and jacks in.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wu Fang catches some rain with his tongue, and recognizing his fellow team members says "Right on, Caine."

He too heads into the tavern. You can't start a proper adventure without a tavern. The tradition dates back to Gygax.

Lily - Human Monkette

Lily looks around, not really caring about the rain.

"Lets try to stay in character," she says, then adds in defiance of her own suggestion, "Are we getting a quest or something this time, or just going out and busting heads?"

Grog - Orc Barbarian

"Still don't see why I had to change my name again," grumbles the massive chain-carrying orc in the back. "Ruining the setting for others my ass. Just point me at what needs killing, I've got an itch to do some beatings."

Roy - Human Healer

Doesn't really matter to me. Roy answers to Lily. As long as you get hurt, I get XP for healing you. Okay, let's get to the tavern and try to stick IC.

Lily's Disiag avatar is that of a woman in her indeterminate twenties, with the compact musculature common to swimmers and gymnasts, short cropped black hair that has a bob tail in the back, pale blue eyes, and coppery skin that sports intricately patterened tattoos on each shoulder. She's dressed in a pretty aggressively 'monky' style, with a sort of short, black with gold filigre' embroidered vest, long loose brown pants with a rope belt, and that's about it. The bracers on her lower arms and wrists have loops in them; she keeps her sai on her left bracer using them. The remainder of her modest gear is in one of the two pouches on a bandolier slung around her shoulder, or in a small rucksack. Lily's face is chiseled and angular...not really pretty nor ugly, but hard-looking.

She gives the healer a sort of withering 'I just said that' look, and prowls into the tavern.

Seeing a familiar face after he finally manages to grab a table large enough to accomodate his companions, Kef waves over Lily. "Welcome Lily, how's my favourite female butt-kicker doing on this lovely day? I sure hope the others arrive soon, I've learned a new spell since our last time together and can't wait to try it out. It will blast someone with chilling cold" Kef says with unabashed glee, clapping his hands together and a hungry gleam in his eyes.
