A big apology to all Wizard fans out there who've been waiting for their poll. Here it is! And there is another thing to apologize for: There are only 16 PPs up for the vote. That's right, the Wizard is the least-supported class of all PHB 1, the red-headed stepchild compared to the fighter (27 choices, not including "any martial", "any defender" and the tons of Str-based PPs of other classes).

Ah well, Let's show the devs that the Wizard is a popular class and vote! As always, the champion will proceed to the next round.

Other polls:
Cleric - Fighter - Paladin - Ranger - Rogue - Warlock - Warlord - Wizard - Swordmage - Forgotten Realms - Avenger - Barbarian - Bard - Druid - Invoker - Sorcerer - Warden - Eberron - Artificer -

What was so awesome about the Blood Mage again?

I am more in love with the Planeshifter. I dig its theme, and an encounter power to make people disappear from the battlefield is interesting.

Ridiculous nova abilities with blood pulse + forced movement. Also, lots of debate on the wording of the former, resulting in either Xd6+mods damage, or X*(1d6+mods) damage, with X the number of squares. Either way, take warlock multiclass for Harrowstorm :).

Also voting bloodmage; while the features are very striker-esque (and make me want to play a dwarf warlock|wizard), the powers are pure win, and give nova damage potential to the entire party.

I'm voting for battle mage. They're terribly flavorful, albeit poorly designed in a few ways. I really like what the class is trying to do, a shame the class features get in the way.

I voted for blood mage for its sheer cheese, but gotta say the spellstorm mage's storm cage power has to be one of the kewlest powers in the game.

Cheers, Al'Kelhar

Storm Cage is awesome! (Even though I'm the Paladin in that party and I get it dropped on my head all the time. Ah well, I can handle it.)

As for Battle Mage, it's not that bad. The Arcane Riposte is pretty bad, it should be an implement melee attack vs. Reflex (errata please!) The Utility is very good, though, and the daily is really amazing. 8d10 area burst 5? Ouch!

EDIT: Looks like the March Update changed the Riposte attack to Int +4 vs. AC (+6 at 21st level). That fixes the problem.
