Wakeman's Invocation question

I'm a bit confused by the wording in Wakeman's Invocation.

It says "whenever" a melee attack hits, you can teleport the attacker 2 squares as an immediate interrupt.

Immediate interrupts are normally limited to one per round.

So if 2 or more enemies hit you in a single round, can you teleport them all away or just the very first one of the round?

Thanks.

Good job; you answered your own question.

Only one Immediate action per round; this is no exception.

"Whenever" means when X happens you get the option of using an immediate action in this way. Not that whenever in the numerous instances way (which actually is a misconception to begin with)

Flip and mneme are correct.

I'm currently playing a Warlock and I think this power is awesomesauce when I am in a bad position/bad fight where its close quarters and I will be swarmed round after round.
