War-based modules

My War Campaigns

I've got two campaigns running in a campaign based around a war in Greyhawk between Bissel (plus allies) and Ket (plus allies and mercenaries and evil dudes). I do it not so much by "war focused" modules, but by giving them all a purpose and connection to the bigger milleu of the war.

Here's what I've run so far/what's coming up:

- Return to the Keep on the Borderlands (TSR, 2.0). I had the forces in the Caves of Chaos attack the keep, and some military forces come to the rescue after the PC's won the battle. The original start in was that since the military is distracted on other fronts, the PC's were needed to investigate attacks on merchants.

- Dzeebagd and Vakhund (Troll Lord, 3.0). Merchant's daughter is attacked. PC's assault a small motte and bailey to get her back, take on bandits and enemy mercenaries who are allied.

- Cauldron of Plenty (Dungeon, 2.0. Don't have the issue as I got as a reprint called Dungeons of Despair). The government's druid adventurer-handler has taken an interest in the PC's and wants a druidic item that makes enough food to feed a small army, for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, it's owned by a giant and there's a curse on those who steal it.

- The Standing Stones (WOTC, 3.0). Dwarvish allies in the Barrier Peaks have lost their supplies of food and charcoal, as the isolated village that supplies them has gone missing.

- Buckbray Tower (Darkfuries, 3.5). Baronet Buckbray has refused the call to arms for him and his troops that is his feudal taxes. PC's sent to get him off AWOL status before other lordlings get the wrong idea. This is more a site than an adventure, but there's some good ideas about destabilizing the place, and I had the enemy plotting to do just that.

- The Last Baron (Paizo, 3.5). This is a total military adventure, and I love it. No spoilers for my players, since I haven't run it yet.

Second party:

- Three Days to Kill (Atlas, 3.0). Merchants are being bumped off by bandits and there's not enough militia to deal with. PC's counter-kill the bandits. For another bandit!

- Sunless Citadel (WOTC, 3.0). Arrested for possession of bandit-stolen horses (ah, my PC's are so naive!), the PC's are given the choice of death or a mission for the druidic adventurer-handler guy. Who wants a magic apple with healing properties to grow lots of healing for the war effort. Also, a merchant wants her missing adventurer kids back.
