Warmage taking the Extra Spell feat

The Warmage (miniature's handbook) has a pre-determined spell list (if you don't count his Advanced Learning ability). What would happen if said Warmage would take the Extra Spell feat?

(or course, Warmage is 3.5 and I don't think that Extra Spell has been converted to 3.5 yet...)

(also, the description of Extra Spell doesn't state that the newly learned spell must be from your spell list... Could a 6th level sorcerer use this feat to learn Cure Moderate Wounds?)

My 2 c.p., I would say that they have to take the spell from the Evocation school, as per Advanced Learning. The feat is either extremely poorly worded or rather uber powerful, but I think the clear intent is that spontaneous spell casters are able to add more spells to their list of known spells, not that they can add spells they couldn't normally cast to their list.
