WB Lone Ranger movie

Silver Griffon

Anybody else see this?
I thought it was really good! I loved the old Lone Ranger and am glad to see it given a new treatment. It's been way too long coming. (That horrible movie in the 80's definitely does not count! )
Sure, Tonto has somehow managed to become a martial artist but that probably was influenced by Brotherhood of the Wolf, which I also liked. I can overlook that because the addition of Native American mysticism was very well done.

Pros: Good sets, good costumes, decent acting, sexy babes :D
Cons: Dialog a little too "modern", no silver bullets

I would like to see it as a series.
D20 Modern western, anyone?

Wow, very negative over there.
I think it has to be taken in the proper context. It is a WB show after all! We have to overlook the prettiness factor and the rock music. I think I'll go post over there and be the voice of dissent. ;)

NO SILVER BULLETS?

What is this world coming to...a famous action hero can't even have his trademark.

I also heard someone say that there was no shooting in the WB Lone Ranger...is this true?

I taped the movie & watched it Sunday morning. It really was not a bad treatment of the Lone Ranger if you don't compare it to Clayton Moore's version but it has its moments. It was set up to be a pilot movie & the silver bullets could be in a future episode if the option of making it a series is picked up.

For me, I liked Tonto & the handling of the Native Americans.

It was an action movie & it entertained me for two hours. Overall, I give it a B- because it could have been much worse.
