D&D 4E We likes our dwarven women kinda furry! (aka 4e beards)

im ok with sideburns and like the ideal of them haveing em but not the full beard.if u like em like that then fine u your game have em' but as a whole i dont want to see it in there.however if they was to put something along the lines on some worlds drawven females are beared that would be ok too.

Hair on a dwarf's chin is a sign of maturity and adulthood. Any dwarf lusting after a smooth-chinned sweetie in my campaign is a child molester.

You're... saying... they... pick up 50-year-olds? Disgusting!

Why? Why can't dwarven females be different that the females of every other race? Dwarves are a fundamentally different race, not humans writ short and stout.
Of course, all the D&D basic races are humans with some exaggerations and focused on something. And that's perfectly fine for me, since they're played by humans. It's an excellent idea to make your races more alien, as long as you and your players enjoy it, but that's not how they are in the core books.

Makes ya wonder about Gimli lusting over Gladriel in Fellowship, don't it? ;)

That was a size complex. He wanted all that women for himself. He'd toss her on the bed, jump on top of the bed, run around in circles around her and sing "mine all mine!"

Yep. I have no problems with playing gnomes, halflings, elves, dwarves, even tieflings and the like.

But in the Star Wars games I played (not many, I give you), I played only humans. The others were too weird. The only thing remotely playable would probably be a wookie, but they're almost more hairy than dwarves and can talk only a little better.

I've always described it this way:

Dwarven women tend to wear their hair in long braids. Sometimes, the front braids are wrapped behind the ears and then braided underneath the chin in a long luxurious lock. Humans often mistake this for a beard.

Beards on dwarven women are merely evidence that Chuck Norris has sex whenever and with whomever he wants.

Because IMNSHO it's not visually appealing, specially to female gamers. I know none of the females I gamed with it 20 years would play a bearded female dwarf.

And I prefer to draw them without beards:
