Weakest LA+1 Races?

I have been thinking about what are the weakest LA+1 races and could you drop the +1 LA if the other races were buffed slightly or if you used for example Pathfinder Races in 3.5. The Genasi for ewxample seem weak.

Hobgoblin, by far. They get a +2 Dex, +2 Con and that's pretty much it (Darkvision and a bonus to Move Silently hardly qualify for LA). In my 3.5 campaigns, I gave them a few extra perks to balance them with other LA +1 races.

I always remember thinking the 3.5 Tiefling wasn't worth the LA. -2 charisma, a spell like ability that will hurt you as much as your enemies. I don't know, maybe the random elemental resistances justify it.

Yeah, I waved he LA for Tieflings back in my 3.5 games. I don't think WotC had the knack for LA quite right then they first printed them back in FRCS.

Yeah, it sounds about right if you balanced them against the basic Pathfinder races. From what I recall, Pathfinder updated all of the weakest LA +1 races, in their Advanced Races Guide, and none of them have an LA anymore.
