D&D 5E What are people hoping for in Monk UA?

Weapon master monk, a monk that uses his tatoos to shape ki in different ways and a more str based monk type would be nice. Also would like to see a rework of the way of elemets. Would like, but i dont think that we get a drunken master.

In any case as some previous posters have noted, it's hard to predict what new options will come to the monk, because it has already 3+2 subclasses that cover a lot of different options. I predict a two new options UA article, maybe a thrid that will be the way of four elements rework, if they decided to return to that thought.

I know it's been popular on the boards to talk about reworking the Way of the Four Elements, but has WotC ever talked about that...?

I like;

Zen Archer, Weapon Master, and Grappler Monk.

I don't think we need a clerical monk. I made a European style monk order. They start as level one monks, then most of them level as clerics. A few gain a second level of monk at some point.

If they do gain a 3rd level of monk (the max trainable in the "Order") they must take Way of the Open Hand. They use a quarterstaff as a monk weapon.

In flavor, they act as cloistered monk/clerics that study and preserve knowledge.

Not everyone uses the multi-classing rules which are themselves an optional rule

Considering how many well-done variants of Four Elements have been done by 3rd party sources, I hope not. It's a little disappointing that people are so predisposed to accept the WotC version over any others, since most of the interesting 5e design is being done 3rd party.

What I expect:
A feywild themed monk, maybe path of the vine or something.
A Shadowfell themed monk, not that they need another one.

What I'd like:
Way of the Drunken Master. Just for fun.
Way of the Dragon. Maybe something like for ki point expended, +1d6 damage for breath weapon feature.

Cyborg monk!
