What are you doing with the money you aren't spending on gaming products?

D&D minis, prepainted WotC D&D minis and the ones you have to paint yourself from Reaper.

Blood Bowl minis. I got back into Blood Bowl big time in the last 18 months so I've been buying a number of the teams along with other minis that take my fancy, like Star Players.

Paints, paintbrushes, and modelling tools. Since getting back into Blood Bowl and buying Reaper D&D minis I've found a need to restock my painting supplies.

Older OOP gaming books. :D

Yep, pretty much.

I'm working on my collection of Dungeon Magazines and picking up things like H1 (Bloodstone Pass).

I'm currently debating if I want to spend $40+/pop to complete my Mystara Gazetteer collection (I need 3)....

Hookers and beer.....

....actually, I don't partake of either (but somebody had to say it).

Since the release of 4E I've bought more 3E material than ever before, as a number of gamers have been dumping them dirt cheap on aution sites. There's nothing like getting $ 25-$40 hardcover books in excellent shape for $5-$10 each (including postage).

The money I'm not spending on 4Ed is being used for buying:

1) ...a 40w Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 1x12 combo amp and a boatload of pedals...next up, a Line6 Verbzilla, Line6 Echo Park, Boss RT-20 and Boss RE-20!
Nice! I just got a 40w Blues Deluxe 1x12 (same as you have, but with a bluesy dirty channel) with an Ibanez TS-808.

My top expenditures, in order of size, are:
- Guitars, amps, stomp boxes, n' other things (can you ever have enough guitars and amps?)
- Entertainment electronics
- Food (I eat out every night, so this amount is astronomical!)
- Comic books and movies
- Computers and accessories

Gaming is actually somewhere near the very bottom of my expenditures. The way I see it, I would save money by going back to my college days of only spending money on Ramen noodles and D&D.

Between no more 3.5 and the total restructuring of the miniatures I am saving 200+ a month. It is going to home repairs, comicbook trade paperbacks, DVDs and now the Federal Gov (errrr).

You win XP, sir.

In my case, due to economic downturns, I am simply taking care of my standard of living -- buying food, paying down a bit of debt, keeping clothes on my back...

Even if I like 4e, I couldn't really afford to spend too much on it right now...

Spent $300+ on gaming stuff and "mundane'" care package stuff (shampoo, beef jerky, etc.) for service members over in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Paizo gets a regular influx of RPG cash from me due to their subscription services. That's all I'm spending on RPGs these days. I really couldn't say where the "extra" money goes.

I do feel like the hobby gets a little less entertaining for me as time goes on ... one group I was in basically stopped playing; another is in hiatus between campaigns with no certain signs of starting up again; and my own is sort of limping along mostly due to my own lack of enthusiasm. But who knows what the future brings, right?
