What d20 game hasn't been done [or done right] yet?

I would love to play a really good game set in Ancient Egypt with some historical fact thrown in with some magic. I think that would be very cool and I don't know of any that are out there.

I've heard good things about the megamodule Necropolis, and I got Testament and have only skimmed it but it looks good (sourcebook for biblical Egypt, Israel, Babylon and one other group from the area.)

There is War in Heliopolis by Avalanche Press with a little history and culture facts for ancient Egypt and some neat mini adventures, but the classes and bronze age adaptations are poor.

I am with the anything Historical. Avalanche is off to a good start with their Celtic Age and Viking Age sourcebooks. Good meaty historical sourcebooks.

In particular I would like to see the following historical genres covered in both mythic and realistic tones (in no particular order):

1. India

2. China

3. Mayan/Aztec

4. Native American

5. Russian

6. Ancient Rome

7. Ancient Egypt

8. Medieval England or France (or Europe for that matter - enter Coriolis from Atlas)

9. Maybe even a Pacific Hawaiian

I too have spent some bucks on GURPS because of this, but really wish soemthing D20 would come out. Avalanche's thick tomes are great, but their smaller tomes are just to light for me. I hope that they, or someone like them will fill the niches on the above hsitorical genres.

My homebrew has several areas that are based on real world civilizations, and products like these would be phenomenal.

Ironically, I have never been a fan of classical Greek mythology, so that did *not* make my list - I hate Hercules and Xena..

I think a definitive low magic d20 fantasy book would be cool, although Conan is coming out and so is another book by -- was it Wulf Ratbane that has one coming out?

I also think that Tamriel would be a good PnP game setting (the world for the Elder Scrolls computer game -- daggerfall, redguard, morrowind, etc).

I created two adventures set in mythic Russia:

Tsar Rising and its sequel The Dancing Hut. Frost and Fur, when it comes out, will have chapters dedicated to Eskimo, Viking, and Russian cultures.

Charmed ... ala the TV show

GI Joe gets my vote. Add Transformers/Thundercats to that same list.

A great Sherlock Holmes type conversion would be excellent. Kind of in the vain of CoC, but a little more standard reality. Perhaps more like Ruse (for your CrossGen comics fans).

A great Marvel or DC conversion would be excellent. Mutants and Masterminds was a great start.

Paranoia d20 (does it exist already?). Could be dangerous. Along the same lines... Toon d20.

Nope, and even thinking of a D20 version of Paranoia is treason, citizen. Please report to the nearest termination center. Thank you for your cooperation. All Hail Friend Computer!

Seriously though, there are plans in the works as far as reviving Paranoia is concerned (All praise Friend Computer!), and the upcoming release will be based on 2nd edition (Even more praise for Friend Computer!). Check out this interview for the details.

Forgot to mention Battletech. I loved the Battletech universe but never got back into it after dropping out many years ago. Then it got all stupid. It would be great to see Battletech/Mechwarrior d20 that adhered to the proper Battletech universe.

Armageddon 2089 by Mongoose may be what you want uv23.

I, too, would like to see a d20 MechWarrior set in the original BattleTech universe, before they messed it up with the Clan Invasion.

Testament by Green Ronin has information about Egyptians and and Egyptian culture that might be appropriate. Although the book really does focus on the Israelites.

Ysgarran.
