My group plays on Saturdays, from noon to 5 pm. I'm 29, with one player in his early 20s, one who is 30 and everyone else in their 40s and older. I'm a teacher and a Ph.D. student, the youngest player is a student, one is a housewife, and the others are working or currently laid off from their jobs.

when i was younger and had more time. i would game any day i could get my group together.

which meant 3-4 hrs per session; 5 sessions per week; 50 weeks per year; for 10+ years.

but since that hayday, life took more control.

so right now it is only on the weekends. and usually once a fortnight. :o

Was curious what day is most popular for gaming. Is it usually a weekday or weekend? Also it might help if you posted your answer and how old you are or what level of employment you have. Myself I game with some folks at work on Thursdays and on Fridays I run my game.
My Tuesday night game is from 7 to 11. My Saturday game is generally from 6 to 11, though the actual play time gets caught up in ordering food and general chat. I had been in a Thursday night game, but had to drop it due to excessive travel.

As to the other part of the question, I'm 30, which is pretty much the average age of both groups I game with. Our employment level would be described as adequate to exorbitant. I would prefer to be a kept man myself, but I can't seem to find any wealthy women in search of a houseboy. Maybe some day ...

I chose no set day because it fluctuates based upon everyone's schedule, but it is almost never on the weekends because those tend to be "family days" to spend with the loved ones. It is a lot easier to find a weeknight that everyones' significant others will be happy to have us out of their hair for a few hours :)

I'm 38 and the oldest of the group, everyone else ranges from mid 20's to mid 30's. We are all "grown up" with full time jobs, and most with families.

I get with the games once a week; one week is my noon-to-5 Sunday game, and the next week is another guy's Friday night game. We alternate weeks. There is a variety of ages and occupations, from an 18 year old high school student, 35 year old doctor, 30-something owner of a plumbing business, a handful of late 20s/early 30s guys doing various hourly wage non-skilled jobs, the 23 year old guy who works at the FLGS we game at, and I am 30, getting my engineering degree. At least half of us are married and a quarter of us have kids.

We have a strict cell-phone policy: if you MUST take a call from something stupid like your girlfriend calling to say she misses you or your drinking buddy asking about which bar is the destination for the night, take it away from the table so you don't bother us. While you are gone, your character has wandered away from the main conversation/activity. Legit calls like the doctor's pager, a wife calling about a sick kid, etc are exempt.

Satyrday and/or Sunday.

I miss the old HighSchool days when I ran games 3-5 times a week.

That's just not fair. My group and I are in High School, and yet it seems like we can barely manage to get together once a week. I would love to run that many games...

Every other Saturday. We have a group of 7 (6 players and a DM - me) currently, so conflicts are bound to happen. We play on Sundays when Saturdays are booked, and I think we've been known to play on a Friday once, but only once in our 3 years gaming together.

My group consists of 30-something professionals, most of which have families (the couple in our group just had their first kid), and I have an 8-month old. So yes, scheduling can be difficult sometimes, especially around holidays. We had a month-long break in Nov/Dec.

I run a game that meets on Tuesday evenings from about 6:30 to 10:30 or 11:00. We used to meet on Wednesdays but we had to move it to Tuesdays for this next semester since I have a class that meets from 5 to 8 on Wednesday nights. :(

Another member of the group runs a game that meets Saturday afternoon. We have 3 college students, a bartender and an insulation layer in the game I run and the Saturday game adds two more college students.
