We're talking about a role playing game in a fictional reality here, not real life. No need to be frightened ;)
right you digital dudes of questionable ethical climate stay on your side of the pixels and I'll stay on mine.

Bumbles if a comic book presents it as a dilemma they do it for a fairly limited set of reasons - either it really isn't a dilemma and the hero can show it off that it shouldn't have ben perceived as one... or the hero can find the third choice. (black and white thinking either/or life is most extreme if that is what you make it)... very occasionally they present ones like in the Daredevil comic line, that have real life counterparts.... and the comic book story literally ends with no answers... never seen that happen in superman.

Did it ever occur to you that the SOB probably treats everybody back in town in the same bitter nasty unforgiving way that he was pushing you guys and strangers who present themselves well may be more convincing, what on earth is diplomacy for? failing that escaping unrighteous detention OR escaping righteous detention in order to make up for the wrong can be a fun story line, it becomes a puzzle to knock your noggins against instead of an excuse for evil.
