What languages can you read?

I can understand a lot more bits and pieces spoken in more languages than I can read. On the other hand I hardly ever have much trouble piecing together what a lot of the romance languages are saying when they're wrote down, too many common roots and enough similarity in format that it just isn't that hard if it's not way different from Spanish and Latin.

For obvious reasons my Finnish is strong and I'm also able to read Swedish quite fluently. I've studied some German too, but I'm really no good at it.

I marked Japanese, Chinese, and French.

Currently, I'm studying Japanese, but I don't think I'll ever be able to read it...

Patience and dedication young lad. It's a slog but if you put in the time you will progress.

Japanese (well, only katakana and hiragana - not kanji).

If you can't read kanji then you can't read Japanese.

Do dead languages count? I can read Anglo-Saxon. (It's just one of many completely useless skills I posess.)

the top 1337 is in French.
