Will you have everyone play a teacher, a student and a house elf?I do have one player who is a mad Harry Potter fan. If they ever talk me into running a Harry Potter game I'll use Ars Magica.

There are already a lot of names-filed-off versions out there, like Kids on Brooms. None of them have set the world on fire. I think a lot of the world has just moved on at this point.I'm not a Harry Potter fan, but lets be honest, the first to release an RPG based on it will likely have the best selling RPG of all time.
Or, as they call it: Moneysnitch.Ravenclaw players are the ones gathering stats, biorhythm charts, and some kind of magical algorithm to predict player performance.
Speaking of which, I just discovered Spellcaster University, which looks amazing. (But I have a big enough backlog of unplayed Steam games as-is.)Doesn't help that there have been tons of "Wizarding school"-type or potential TTRPGs/settings, whereas with videogames no-one had done a big-budget one, they'd all been obscure indies.
When it comes to the Potterverse stuff, it would be better if it was done like the adventures in the Fantastic Beasts movies, rather than being stuck in a school.
