What Monsters Do you Use?

I use mostly humanoids, giants and undead. I also like using outsiders.

Evil men (humans/elves/etc.), evil hordes (orcs/giants/etc.) and horror (undead/outsiders), basically.

Some aberrations, monstrous humanoids and magical beasts also fit in well.

Depends on the campaign.

For Forgotten Realms (Greyhawk, Mystara, Planescape), just about anything goes. Same for Eberron, depending on where the party is.

For stuff like Black Company, none really.

Heck, this poll is probably too limiting as some companies have their own monster books like the Iron Kingdoms or Forgotten Realms itself, rely on more monster books than just those found in the core.

I use the only classics (goblins, dragons, skeletons, etc)

I keep to just one type (undead, demons, orcs, etc)

I only use humans/humanoids with class levels

I use only weird or non-traditional monsters (gricks, digesters)

I use a specific campaign setting's monsters only (Trollocs, draconians)

I only use Real-World Monsters (animals, dinosaurs, etc)

I use a specific Mythologies monsters only (Egyptian, Greek, Oriental)
