Legend
The Lies of Locke Lamorra book.
It's a rare game system that accommodates space exploration and Freudian analysis, alas.I didn't see an RPG for Gateway by Frederik Pohl, however, so that might be cool.
It occurs to me that there is practically a one-to-one correspondence between the works and franchises I might suggest in this thread, and the works and franchises I would list in my personal Appendix N. Mario, He-Man and She-Ra, Phantasy Star, BraveStarr, Galaxy Rangers, Thundarr the Barbarian, and on and on and on...
No doubt! But the basic premise, gather a team, get a ship, roll the dice to see if you end up finding a new wonder, nothing, or a black hole, all in the hopes that you strike it rich before your characters run out of luck, could be interesting, to say the least. It's a rare game system that accommodates space exploration and Freudian analysis, alas.
GURPS Lensman is a truly insane book.I know GURPS did a setting book for it, but I'd love to see a full Lensman game.
