What RPG's do you want to talk about?

I'm a big fan of the Wild West. What makes Aces and Eights so much fun?

I'm always up for talking about Deadlands, particularly with the classic rules.

Lately I've been really into Legend of the Five Rings, as I just picked up 4th edition and started running it. I had a friend visit, and we originally intended to only run a few sessions, but it's been such a blast that it grew into a campaign that I'm running online.

I like Aces and Eights, in a nut shell, because I can run the game using only the "basic" rules presented on pages 6 to 13. I can then use the Advanced Rules as I wish, and then put them "back" when I am done. Or keep using them. Whichever I wish. If it wasn't so "toolbox", I wouldn't like it like I do.

Plus the "Shot Clock" system is just plain awesome.

My group likes playing L5R 4E as well. We've been played since late 2E, and definitely think 4E is the best yet! I think we have less than 6 house rules so far. Not including some 3E schools we have already converted ourselves, since we couldn't wait for "official" versions to get done. Plus the best thing for me is I am NOT the one who GM's that game! WOOT! My daughter does that job!

I seriously play Maid the RPG - tough the setting has deepened a little, we are now at 50+ sessions as maids.

Feng Shui, and my ow derivative of it Action is otherwise my mainstay.

I'd love more talk about L5R and Mouse Guard. I'd also love to talk about a hardcore SF game - Eclipse Phase comes to mind but there might be others that are better.

The system that I am most surprised about not hearing more about is the new World of Darkness. Did releasing a new edition of that old mainstay cause all interest to disappear?

Hmmm... That Maid RPG is strangely intriguing, especially when I got to the Cyborg Commando character...

I also play Eclipse Phase weekly, since September, and like I think I mentioned earlier we have done some test playing of Cthulthu Tech, and hope to get a full blown game going soon. Plus I have been a die hard Traveller fan for a long time and run it as hard a sci fi as I can. Since I have a Bachelors of Science I think I do a fairly good job.

I'm interested in Mouse Guard too. On one hand I am upset about them pushing the release of the boxed set back to Gen Con rather than releasing it this month. On the other hand I am glad of it because I couldn't afford to buy it right now anyways.

I'm about to start my second warhammer fantasy roleplay campaign(3e).
I'm not an overly large fan of the setting though - so I'm homebrewing the setting. The mechanics divorce themselves from the setting quite nicely if you don't mind renaming a few of the careers and etc.

I think my favourite thing about it is the dice, the mechanic is just terrific, i find myself wanting to import them to other games.

....and especially Soloman Kane, since I hope to be running a 6 week or so stint of this in the near future.

Seeing as I'm hip deep running a Solomon Kane game, I would LOVE to see more discussion about it. Here, there, anywhere!

For anyone interested, I'm keeping an Actual Play thread on the game over on RPGnet. I'm hoping to have the details of last Friday's game session up by the end of the weekend.

Savage Foes, I don't think I was even aware of a Tales book. Certainly don't remember seeing or hearing of it before, but my memory is far from perfect.

Traveler's Tales is a short anthology of three adventures for SK. I think the caliber of adventures in it is higher than that of Savage Foes. I ran the Von Gottlieb Horror for my group and it went fantastic! Lots of good opportunities for roleplaying and a deeper mystery to solve made it more than just a "monster of the week(end)" adventure. I've only run one of the adventures out of Savage Foes (the Hoarfrost Warriors?) and it could have used a bit more development on my end to really shine.

Anyway, I'd definitely recommend it (Tales, that is), especially if you are looking to run the Old World leg of the plot point (or any SK game set in Europe). I personally like Savage Foes, though I don't think it measures up to its true potential. I'm very curious to see how the new Path of Kane book measures up. From the preview and review I've seen, I'm a bit on the fence about it. We'll see, though.
