D&D 5E (2014) What would you like to see added to 5E before it's published?

I want it called DnD 5th edition (Next has been a stupid name from the get-go)
I want it to be entirely OGL
I want Monsters and PCs to be built the same way.
I want it to feel like Dungeons and Dragons when I play it.

I want Monsters and PCs to be built the same way.

Why do you want this? As long as monsters are believable-enough, why must the behind-the-scenes statistics be built on the same platform?

Why would monsters need a proficiency bonus, and trained skills, and a background, and fixed stat increases, and spells that function exactly like a PC spell, and all that stuff? As long as the monsters function OK and are believable, why isn't that enough?

Alternate classes that follow the 4E AEDU paradigm (not necessarily with the same structure for all classes).

Optional tactical combat rules that mirror 4E's tactical rules with some updates and fixes.

Optional replication of the 4E healing surge and martial healing rules (don't have to be exact, but something that accomplishes the same thing).

Basically the ability to play an update and fixed 4.5E. If they gave me that I might be willing to stop boycotting them for their questionable business practices such as perma banning anyone that disagrees with them on their forum (which also means they can't have a DDi account).

Wait, is that really a ramification of a message board ban there, that you are denied access to your DDI account even if your account dues are up to date?

Because it allows monsters to work for more than just hack & slash fodder.
Because it allows interchangeability when a PC becomes a monster or a monster becomes a PC.

Because its what I like.

Because it offers me a full set of parameters for encounters other than combat.

Because the more I know about a creature, the better I can run them.

Because its my preferred method of game design. I only have to learn one set of rules and it applies to everything when designing or playing. I don't have to learn two different sets of rules and then make sure the two different sets fully mesh with each other in an appropriate way.

Me? I hope they add Felicia Day in a sexy outfit bearing a pint of Cherry Garcia ice cream. But I can understand if that would make shipping to me too expensive.

One potential reason to give them a proficiency bonus: As far as I can tell, PCs are the only ones who get bonuses to saving throws.

Maybe that's a feature of the system, but it seems weird that a PC has a +6 to resist a spell and the uber-powerful bad guy just has a +4.

Unless they fixed it with their forum changeover, yeah.

Your DDi login was tied to your forum login and when you tried to login on the front page and you had been banned it wouldn't allow you to login.

In other words yeah, get a temp ban, lose out on your paid service. One of the reasons I'm not going to even grab a months DDi just to pick up everything when its done with...
