What's Neat in Texas?

Very true. For instance, I've heard that in the deeper parts of the state, stargazing is a must - the stars at night are big and bright.
Very much so. When I was in my teens and 20s, my father, stepbrother and I used to go hunting out in west Texas. We were 20 miles from the nearest "town" and it had maybe a dozen buildings total. There was virtually no light pollution at all. The sky was spectacular! In the evenings, I'd often find a spot to sit on a point overlooking a canyon somewhere and watch the stars come out.

Gents, come up to Winnipeg. When you are within half an hour away from the perimeter of the 'Peg, the sky is just alive with twinkling little stars. We have some of the least air pollution in all of Canada, IIRC.
