Where are you going for Thanksgiving?

Driving to pensylvania thursday morning to the hubby's grandparents. driving back saterday evening. As long as I don't develope mastitis it will be an improvement over last thanksgiving. I suspect the Meatball will be a better traveler this year, which will also improve things.

I hope that works out for you. We had a similar situation in my family where a husband and wife were getting divorced, and the relatives that host Thanksgiving invited the husband. I felt kinda bad for him, since it had to be awkward as hell. I didn't earn myself many brownie points either I dont think as I always liked him better than his wife who I was related to, and spent the evening talking and watching sports with him instead of the rest of the crew.

Three cheers for adults who can act like adults at holiday time. :D

Thanks! It won't be awkward until either I or my wife brings a date at some future event. Then...awkward... lol

Not a lot of plans for Thanksgiving--just immediate family for the food. Afterwards, I might be going uptown to see the festivities, though.

Flying to Cleveland to see my parents (so are my brothers, but not my sisters this year) like I've done most years since moving out west, though the only Event on the schedule is the big dinner at my aunt's place. And I'll keep doing so except in the extremely unlikley event that I find a girlfriend (that's the really unlikely part) whose family does something on the scale that my mom's family does (there are lots of them, and most of them know how to cook) and lives closer...

Wow. Don't go too nutty, JD! Just remember, "SERENITY NOW!!!" ;)
So far it hasn't been so bad. I've been able to get points for staying home with the kids while my wife went out with her mother. Little did she know, that's exactly what I wanted to do anyway, so it was hardly a sacrifice...
