D&D Movie/TV Where is all of the Honor Among Thieves D&D stuff, WotC?

Warpiglet-7

Cry havoc! And let slip the pigs of war!
The movie is going to be exactly the same sort of PG-rated light quippy adventure-comedy that follows a well-worn path from Indiana Jones to Buffy and the MCU. Which is eminently predictable (everyone and their dog in filmland is trying to be the MCU right now), if not exactly a daring creative choice. If you don't like that sort of thing, there's probably not going to be much there for you. And of course even if you do like that sort of thing (like me - the Brendan Fraser Mummy movie is one of my all-time favorites), some in the genre are better than others (the less said about the sequels to the Mummy, the better!)
Yeah—-I enjoyed Indiana Jones but you are right on all other points.

I suppose it can’t be worse that the first dungeons and dragons movie…

A bunch of non-game movie tie-in books (with edits incorporated below thanks to @Whizbang Dustyboots )

There are two prequel novels

WotC dropped the ball on tie-ins. Starter set, dice sets, DM screens are all low hanging fruit. It is literally putting a variant cover on a box. Slightly higher level of effort would be a starter set with the heroes of the film as mentor characters in a new entry level Neverwinter adventure. Hell, even corner stickers for older adventures featuring monsters or character from the movie, no matter how tangential to move back stock. First appearance of Themberchaud on the corner of Out of the Abyss with the movie logo.
