Who could be in a Pulp LXG?

I thought Fu Manchu was a straight up villain, though?

Well, sure, that's what Dr. Petrie said. What do you expect from an Englishman?

Fu was trying to bring down the British empire, true...but the Chinese had some pretty good reasons for being miffed with the Western powers back around the turn of the century.

I think it would be a very small step to imagine that Fu Manchu was really a Nemo-esque freedom fighter, battling an arrogant and racist British Empire.

In Planetary, Brass and Hark finally realized that they were both fighting for the good of all mankind, and decided to work together.

[Tarzan's real name is John Clayton, Lord Greystoke. In the novels, he actually moves back and forth between the two worlds with relative ease.]

Hand of Evil, I'm not clear on this part; what do you mean by "Lord Greystroke"?

Tarzan was king of the Jungle but by blood was an English Lord, he had title and land, he was a noble. When people think of Tarzan, they see the jungle, they do not know Tarzan came out of the jungle and was very civil which he learned on his journey to find Jane, even having crime fighting adventures in Paris.

Let me ask, would it be terribly blasphemous of me to sort of combine that idea(of Fu Manchu fighting to overthrow the English tyranny) with Kato, making it so that that's Kato's schtick, but he's just not as extreme as Fu Manchu?

But how does the Green Hornet fit in?

If you're really trying to stick it to the man, you don't drive Brit Reed's car.

Maybe the Green Hornet is really the sidekick. Kato's loyal sidekick Brit is the mouthpiece, the frontman. Kato can travel among the rich and powerful because they think Brit is one of them --- but it's Kato's money, and Kato calls all the shots.
