Who is going to be the next Comic Superhero to reach the Movie Screens?

Warner indisputably has their paws on the two biggest and most recognizable icons in comics. (I'm not so sure about Wonder Woman.)

Trouble is, they seem spectactualrly inept in recent years at bringing these characters to the screen. Whoever at Warner handled the last two Superman Batman releases clearly had no idea what the comics (or even the movies) were about, and no clue what to do with them. Not to mention no trace of an idea about what makes a movie good, as opposed to crap-sandwich lousy.

Although thankfully that isnt the case with animation. Or was...whilst Superman, Batman and JLA have had excellent animated shows some of the news ones (Teen Titans & Aquaman) sound quite bad.

You guys have all missed the greatest superhero of all time, the one who deserves a film the most...

Aquaman!
Seriously, though, has Aquaman even been discussed? He's not that bad.

Demiurge out.

the new series is real good. I would go see a movie based off it.

I would kill to see Watchmen done properly on the big screen.

Starman
It's in the works. David Hayter (voice of Solid Snake and X-men writer) is working on the script for it. It would be very hard to do as one movie, IMO. It would probably work best as a multi-part mini-series for TV.

I'm not holding my breath on Watchmen. It's been in the works for over a decade now. Unless I missed something, it's no closer to reality now than it's been in the past. It would make a good superhero movie, even if there aren't any superheros in it.:)

Yeah. Cause there's all that crime underwater.

I heard about a Preacher movie, but it's probably stalled somewhere.

Today's Post-Crisis Aquaman doesn't fight crime.
He doesn't care about on-land crime (except for the really big ones).

He simply is the protector of Atlantis, their King and defender.

Well until the new (current) series, but there was a coup and he's been banned from the ocean.

.

I can easily see an Aquaman movie being seen from the point of view of someone else, discovering Atlantis or something.

The only way to do Watchmen Justice is a mini-series, IMO. I have a cast in mind, but its slightly biased. The only way to do Dr. Manhattan is CGI. Claudia Christian as the female superhero (forgot character name), Jerry Doyle as the Comedian, Bruce Boxlnlitner(SP?) as Ozmandias, and Ed Wassar as Rorshach.

I figure X2 will be the last X-Men movie, too much cost and tooooo many big names. See them cutting back and just doing a Wolverine movie for the third installment.

Dr. Strange is the way I would go. It crys FX, horror and fantasy.

I just worry when it will be enough, when the number of bad comic book made into movies just keep people from seeing them.
