These people are literally all from the same era.I will say this though, the RPG won't feel like Star Wars to me if you can't have Obi Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, and Cassian Andor believably in the same universe.

Pick which bits of media you're going to draw the most from, grab your system of choice, an encyclopedia or wiki, and go. Whatever system is put out will get endless complaints about how it should have been a different system, with different dice.Given that we already have Star Borg, Rebel Scum, Scum & Villainy, Notorious and countless others, do we need another new system? Just take the Star Wars official stuff and put it on RPGs that the hard work has already been done for.
Yeah I’m not sure where the 5E reskin will set records confidence comes from. There been many imitators and even straight SW versions of RPGs and they never really take off. They do collect small hard core fan bases tho.Given that we already have Star Borg, Rebel Scum, Scum & Villainy, Notorious and countless others, do we need another new system? Totally. I hate to say it but I don't think Star Wars is as popular as most folks want it to be. I work with a lot of younger folks and Star Wars is no more popular or well known than any other "nerd" IP. I think a lot of the "popularity" of Star Wars is nostalgia from older nerds, alot of which has been curbed by Disney and the particulars of their handling of the IP. If the financial history of Star Wars projects is any indication, the IP is far less popular now than it has ever been.Yeah I’m not sure where the 5E reskin will set records confidence comes from. Appreciated, but Star Wars is a bit too close to me and I think I would like to separate it from workMy default answer to "who should develop [X game]" is generally going to be Mongoose, but their games also tend to get a little too thick around the fiddly bits. Still, I'd love to see them get a shot at it anyway.
